We will try to recover, get some energy into them and I might have to use the squad, but we have to get on with it”. We’ll get out there and hopefully put it right against West Brom and maybe get a bit of luck that we deserve.

Barcelona terminated the contract of midfielder Sergi Guardiola just hours after he signed because of a series of “offensive” tweets, the club said on Monday.

The country has been declared free of Ebola virus twice – in May and September – but each time a new case has emerged. Guinea has been declared free of Ebola by the World Health Organisation.

Guardiola, no relation to Pep, was unveiled as a new signing for Barcelona B in the afternoon but by the evening his contract had been terminated, despite his protestations that he was not personally responsible for the offensive tweets.

69 journalists died on the job in 2015
The most common “beat” topics covered by victim journalists were politics, war, and human rights. The fatalities in 2015 were more widely distributed than the previous three years, the CPJ said.

Below, via Twitter user Foro_MDM, are the tweets he sent, before he made his account private.

The player himself has since commented on the story, claiming that the tweets posted to his profile were not done by him.

“I apologise to Barca and to Catalonia”, said Guardiola. “I ask for forgiveness a thousand times – I have learned a hard lesson”.

A number of anti-Catalonian posts were also found on the social media site from October 2013.

“I’m from Mallorca, I’m not anti-Catalan or anti-anything”.

Surprisingly, Guardiola is not the first player in Spain to see his dream move collapse due to previous Twitter messages, with Julio Rey having his contract with Deportino La Coruna after posting a Twitter message in 2012 that read “F*** Deport, f*** Riazor”.
