12/29/2015The obnoxious blast of winter weather that hit most of Wisconsin on Monday brought almost a foot of snow in some parts of the state. The storm watch ends Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the extreme southeastern part of the state into Tuesday, with 6-10 inches of snow expected.
There is a 30 percent chance for more snow on Wednesday, with temperatures continuing to decline to a low point of 8 degrees by Thursday evening.
The storm could bring heavy snow, ice and sleet that might cause hard travel conditions.
Lesser snow totals are expected north and west of Duluth. Also in the warning are almost all of Wisconsin and Iowa, along with a tail that stretches southwest through Oklahoma almost to Texas.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for southern St. Louis, Douglas, Carlton, Pine and Aitkin counties – including the Twin Ports – from 6 p.m. today to noon Tuesday, for the possibility of 2 to 4 inches of snow.
