Saudi Air Force says it intercepts rebel missile from Yemen
Yemen’s al-Masirah news channel reported on Sunday that the Qaher 1 missile caused huge explosions by hitting armories of the base, located in the al-Arissah district of Najran.

The missile launch is the latest attack in an ongoing conflict between a Saudi-led Arab coalition trying to restore President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to power and Yemeni forces who are loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
No details were provided about the size of the force.
“Kuwait decided on the participation of its ground forces, represented by an artillery battalion, in operations to strike at positions of Houthi aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, the paper said.
The decision came after 30 Emirati soldiers were killed in Yemen in a missile attack carried out by Ansarullah fighters in early September.
Last week, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, special envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen, announced the end of the latest peace talks on Yemen, saying that the parties agreed on framework for the negotiations and will meet again on January 14 for a new round of talks.
Hundreds of Saudi and UAE military men are now surrounded by the Yemeni forces in the town of al-Jabal al-Aswad in al-Jawf province.
Washington itself has helped the Saudis in their almost nine months of bombardment of Yemen by providing logistics and intelligence to the Saudi air force.

Others were reportedly injured in the attack.
