Will Broncos Osweiler or go with Manning in Week 17?
There is also the long-held belief that nothing shreds a team’s hopes and dreams like uncertainty at quarterback.

Manning suffered the injury in the Broncos’ Nov. 8 loss in Indianapolis.
Although there was some speculation that Peyton Manning might return to the Broncos’ starting lineup Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Sunday morning that Denver now is “Brock Osweiler’s team”.
Quarterback Brock Osweiler scrambles as defensive tackle Domata Peko of the Cincinnati Bengals chases him down.
With seconds left in the fourth quarter, Denver’s Brandon McManus missed a field goal attempt, sending the game into overtime.
The 20-17 victory over the Bengals clinched a playoff spot for Denver.
“I’ve felt comfortable all along, but certainly the more that you play, the more you learn and the more comfortable you are”, Osweiler said this week. “A coach once told me, no offense to anybody, close your ears and focus on your job…”
The Bengals can win a playoff game with McCarron playing as he did in the early going Monday. “I was over there and saw it first-hand, so I thought it was a really good week”.
On the season, the Denver Broncos average 239.9 yards in passing and 99.3 yards in rushing.
In their first-half work against the Pittsburgh Steelers and in wins over the Green Bay Packers and the Patriots, the Broncos look like a championship-caliber team.
“We have to do something so I said, “Let’s just go to two-minute, Brock will handle the team”, Kubiak said. It’s just, ‘Let’s go, let’s have a good week, let’s work, ‘ and that’s what he did.

Manning scaled back his workouts after what Kubiak called “a hiccup” December 18 – experiencing pain after a workout – so he went back to the workout regimen he followed the week before in an effort to ease his way back onto the field without causing more damage to his foot. But it’s an option that Kubiak seems unlikely to take, and Manning could be facing an offseason decision about whether to retire or continue his legendary National Football League career elsewhere.
