ISIS leader connected to Paris attack killed
An Islamic State leader with “direct” links to the alleged ringleader of the Paris attacks was killed in an airstrike in Syria as he was plotting additional attacks, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference, Col. Steve Warren told reporters that Charaffe al-Mouadan, a 27-year-old originally from the suburbs of Paris, is believed to have been among 10 leaders killed in December. Intelligence sources said reconnaissance indicated he was actively involved in the planning of future atrocities against the West.
Russian Federation recently began its own air attacks against armed opponents of the Syrian government.
“As long as ISIL external attack planners are operating, the US military will hunt them and kill them”, Warren said. Some were linked to the assault in Paris that killed 130 people in November, while others “had designs on further attacking the West”, Warren said. He was killed in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on December 26.
Recapturing Ramadi, the provincial capital of Anbar, was one of the most significant victories for Iraq’s armed forces since ISIS swept across a third of the country in 2014.

Pentagon officials said that 10 jihadi leaders have been wiped out in drone attacks this month as America ratchets up its aerial bombardment of the Islamist hate group. “We haven’t severed the head of the snake, and it’s still got fangs”.
