Olive Garden charging $400 for NYE buffet
Olive Garden and other Times Square restaurants are charging hundreds of dollars or more per person for New Year’s Eve dinner, according to reports. (Seriously. There’s an escalator.) The New Year’s Eve ticket price includes a buffet, open bar, midnight champagne toast, party favors, a DJ and a dance floor.

Maybe easy access to a bathroom and an open bar is worth it.
The menu includes chicken con broccoli, eggplant parm, shrimp primavera, short ribs, chicken marsala, mashed potatoes and garden vegetables. Except for New Year’s Eve.
With tickets ranging from $199 to as high as $799, big spenders are certainly paying for the prime views numerous restaurants have of the famous ball drop.
New Year’s Eve is the craziest night of the year in Times Square, NYC, and tons of restaurants lucky enough to be located there take full advantage of those looking to have a great view of the ball drop…from inside, that is.
And watching the ball drop?
When you’re at Olive Garden, you’re family.
And wear a nice shirt please: no T-shirts or sneakers allowed.
Getting in the door at Applebee’s will set you back $375. No problem. Olive Garden in Times Square has got you covered… for a price.
“You get to look out over the lock down zone”, said the spokeswoman.

“Most of our sales happen in the last two days before New Year’s when all the tourists are coming to NY”, she said.
