Browns coach to talk with Manziel about latest video
Yes, the Cleveland Browns did lose today against the Kansas City Chiefs, but they did learn a lot about one player in particular.

Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine says he will have a conversation with Johnny Manziel after another social media video of the quarterback surfaced Sunday night.
Smith threw for 125 yards and ran for 54, helping Kansas City (10-5) clinch a playoff berth when Pittsburgh lost to Baltimore moments later. And while Manziel continued some of his magic _ he led the Browns to the Chiefs’ 30-yard line by converting two first downs on the drive _ his fourth-and-8 deep pass to Travis Benjamin landed incomplete by a wide margin. But it was Manziel that dragged the Browns through the second half and had them competing until time ran out.
In the loss to the Chiefs (10-5), Manziel completed just 13 of his 32 throws (40.6 percent) for 136 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.
Manziel frequently escaped pass-rush pressure and finished with 108 rushing yards on 11 carries.
PICK ME: Marcus Peters had his eighth interception, matching Bobby Hunt (1962) for the franchise rookie record. The coaches and players simply wanted to win a game. Maclin becomes the first receiver that Alex Smith has had in his career to go over 1,000 yards. He did not travel with the team to Kansas City…. The attempt was blocked by Chiefs’ safety Daniel Sorensen, who was able to get a hand on it at the last second.
The Chiefs offense has looked extremely pedestrian in the second half of the past two games and that is something that I am beginning to think is not a coincidence.
The Chiefs jumped to a 17-3 halftime lead Sunday and looked like they were cruising to an easy win against a team that had quit. All told, Cleveland rolled up 368 total yards in the contest but still only managed a 13 points. The Chiefs can still win the AFC West with a victory in their finale against Oakland and a loss by Denver in one of their final two games. “But at the end of the day, time ran out on him”.
The Browns got the ball to open the second half, and promptly put together a nine-play, 82-yard scoring march that was capped by a 10-yard run by Isaiah Crowell.
Sunday’s 17-13 win over the visiting Cleveland Browns obviously wasn’t a work or art or easily accomplished.
Cole said Kansas City Chiefs Director of Player Personnel Chris Ballard, Minnesota Vikings assistant general manager George Paton and Cincinnati Bengals Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin are the leading candidates to replace Farmer.
So while the Chiefs eventually got a first down to give their defense a much-needed rest, they were stuffed on a third-and-1 run from their own 23 and forced to punt.
“As far as specifically addressing the job, I just think it had not been the time or the place at any of those to discuss it. As a coach, you have to have very short-term focus and it’s always been on the opponent for that week”.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – The closest you’ll get to an admission that the Chiefs were staring at a season down the drain may have come from linebacker Derrick Johnson, who stood in a quiet corner of the locker room Sunday.
