New Orleans police solve case of mysterious Christmas tree
Charity Hospital has sat forgotten for a decade but on Sunday, several Tulane Medical Center employees noticed what appeared to be a Christmas tree shining through a window of the abandoned building.

The mystery of a ghostly light in an abandoned hospital’s window has been solved, with authorities saying it was the work of pranksters or a forgetful urban explorer.
We don’t know if it’s supposed to bring some joy to a gloomy setting, but it’s downright creepy.
Lisa Walley Staggs, who works across the street from the building posted photos of the tree to Facebook. He added that his brother passed away at the now-abandoned hospital.
‘I wish the pictures did it justice. “I don’t know how it’s lit. I don’t know how it’s even in there, but it made me smile just a little bit tonight!” she wrote.
The explorer wrote: “Someone is taking credit for sneaking in and putting a tree in this room, can’t personally confirm… photo of the outside of this room is going viral and people think these lights are a ghost Christmas tree”.
The viewer said his friend who works across from Charity Hospital spotted the light and snapped the photo.
People commenting on the photographs blamed the lights on paranormal activities. Police have entered the room of the defunct building and removed two-by-fours wrapped in lights.

A spokesperson for the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center said someone broke into the 1930s-era hospital and placed the lights in front of the window. “The only thing scary about this is how much the City of NOLA spends to keep the power on”, wrote the Instagram user.
