Yarmouth New Year’s Eve Free Ride Program Running for Fifth Year

Maj. Lance Howell, who took over the program this year, said the Sheriff’s Office will provide the service through its Wilson County Reserve Officers who will volunteer their time. Maj.

The Green Cab Co. said it will be offering rides all day on New Year’s Eve, and its prices will remain the same. The free cab will bring people home from bars or clubs within a 10-mile radius. “I didn’t know how it was going to go the first year but it went very well, it was very well received, and so many people mentioned it to me throughout the years so I made a decision to do it again and again”.
