Cowboys’ Dez Bryant finally shut down, faces offseason surgery
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been sent to injured reserve, effectively ending his season, the team announced Wednesday.

Here’s a question: So Bryant’s now having surgery on the same foot – and now the ankle – that he was hobbling around on for the last few months?
A disastrous season for Dez Bryant has officially come to an end, four days before a disastrous season for his team also comes to an end. In any event, Bryant did not catch more than five passes in a game after coming back and topped 100 yards receiving just once. “The next year I didn’t want to be going through the same thing again, and I’ve been back a year now and going into this year I haven’t had a foot injury or problem at all with my foot”. The injury, commonly known as a Jones fracture, forced him to miss the next five games. Then, in October, he had a stem-cell injection into his foot. He was hampered by foot, ankle and knee issues the rest of the season and did not play Sunday in Buffalo for the Cowboys.
The 4-11 Dallas Cowboys are out of playoff contention.
In 2015, Bryant did not attend any of the offseason conditioning for the Cowboys, OTAs, or minicamp due to a contract dispute.

The Cowboys believe that the lack of early work and conditioning really affected Bryant’s ability to play at his normal level.
