Ravens receiver Steve Smith tweets: He’s coming back in 2016
Steve Smith, legendary wide receiver and trash talker, has announced he will attempt to return to the Baltimore Ravens for the 2016 season, in a reversal of his preseason announcement to make 2015 his a year ago.

If he has a normal Smith-type season next year, that’d push him past 1,000 career catches and firmly into the all-time top-12, while 1,000-plus receiving yards would put him right on the verge of becoming the sixth player in National Football League history with at least 15,000 career receiving yards as well.
The Ravens expected Smith to come back after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on November 1 against the San Diego Chargers.
In addition to making his intentions known for returning next year, Smith said he plans to do what he loves while spending quality time with his family, as well as returning his body to optimal playing condition. But his tweet suggests otherwise.
Smith signed a three-year contract with Baltimore in March 2014.

Smith spent 13 seasons with the Carolina Panthers before he was released after the 2013 season in a cost-cutting move.
