Results of Bill Cosby criminal inquiry to be announced
Hours after Bill Cosby was charged with a first-degree felony of aggravated indecent assault on Wednesday, December 30, The Cosby Show star arrived at the courthouse in Elkins Parks, Pennsylvania, for his arraignment.

The decade-old case where a woman said the comic legend drugged her and made sexual advances toward her became a hot button issue in the recent county district attorney’s race between Democrat Kevin Steele and Republican Bruce Castor.
A previous district attorney declined to charge Cosby in 2005. Prosecutors said Cosby urged the victim to take three blue pills and drink wine before he positioned himself on top of her on a couch, fondled her and penetrated the woman. Her original report – made first to Durham police and then relayed to USA authorities – resulted in no charges.
Details are still being released. But his defense team has also said that denial didn’t apply to Constand’s accusations, which Cosby is not allowed to comment on under the terms of their settlement. The statute of limitations had expired in every case, except this one; finally at least one of Cosby’s victims will have her day in court.
The case dates from 2004, and under Pennsylvania law, prosecutors have a 12-year deadline to bring charges in a sexual assault case. At that point, Cosby allegedly sexually assaulted Constand.
Cosby is accused of aggravated indecent assault and has now been arraigned (formally charged).
“A prosecutor’s job is to follow the evidence wherever it leads and whenever it comes to light”, Steele said. Calls to his attorneys were not immediately returned.
“Obviously we appreciate the expression of confidence in her”, Troiani said. In it he admits to using drugs to dope women with whom he wanted to have sex – but insisted it was with their knowledge.
The charges came down just days before the 12-year statute of limitations for bringing charges was set to run out.
More than 50 women have come forward with claims that Cosby had drugged, and in numerous cases, sexually assaulted them in incidents dating back decades.

Other interviews were conducted with people who were close to her and Cosby around the time of the alleged assault, the Inquirer said.
