Steve Harvey pokes fun at his Miss Universe gaffe
Wurtzbach also said in her message that she saw how strong and attractive Gutiérrez was during the time they spent together while preparing for the pageant. “Fate has a plan for you, and I’m excited to see what’s ahead”, Wurtzbach wrote.

She continued, “You represented your country with honor and I know how proud everyone must be of you”. Harvey referenced his recent Miss Universe mistake, naming the wrong woman as the victor, when he wished everyone a “Merry…Easter”, instead of a “Merry Christmas”. “Arguing and sending hateful messages to each other defeats the whole goal”.
Wurtzbach’s win became very controversial when pageant host Steve Harvey initially announced that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez won the title.
Steve Harvey has embraced his famous Miss Universe mix-up with a amusing Christmas post. However, minutes later the crown was taken off from her head and was placed on Miss Philippines’s head following which Ariadna was replaced as the a runner-up to the crown.
The Executive Director of Casting Crowns Productions, Inc was right next to the stage at Miss Universe 2015 and captured this close-up view of the contestants and the end of the pageant. Harvey described his devastation in a series of tweets and Instagram posts apologising profusely for making the error. In a post on her own account earlier this week, Miss Colombia wrote: “Your destiny is written for you”. Steve Harvey messed up again.
Entertainment Tonight reported that he will likely be back on the show next year, considering he signed a big money multi-year contract to host it just days before the pageant.

“I really feel for Philippines, obviously it was a complete mistake”.
