Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif is said to be close to the new National Security Adviser, recently retired General Naseer Khan Janjua, who replaced Sartaj Aziz, an ally of the Prime Minister, in October.
As Sharif nodded in agreement, the two expressed determination to not let adverse incidents disrupt such meetings, a source privy to the conversation between the two PMs told The Indian Express. “Padosi se aise hi rishte hone chahiyen (One should have such relations with neighbours)”.
