‘Star Wars,’ ‘Jurassic World’ propel US box office to record year
After the Shanghai premiere, the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” director told media in a conference that he was delighted to see the Shanghai audience laugh at exactly the same scenes that other audiences did, according to an Associated Press report published on Express & Star.

Even if business slows enough that it doesn’t quite get there this weekend, it seems to be a forgone conclusion that Star Wars will get there. With a domestic total of over $350 million, 99.6% of American Sniper’s domestic box office was earned in 2015.
The film made a little more than $31 million in the United States today and nearly $40 million in other countries.
Many gamers have presumed that a DLC related to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is going to be released sometime soon for the first-person shooter game “Star Wars: Battlefront”, mainly because of the movie’s success and how it was well received by the fans during its premiere on December 14 and its theatrical release on December 18. Either way, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a hit, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Disney was a close second with 19.2% of the market share followed by Warner Bros (14.1%) and 20th Century Fox (11.3%). Rentrak expects US$11.1 billion in total sales by year-end.
That represents both the biggest Christmas holiday result and the best second weekend for a film in history. My question is that how long should we, as a sophisticated species of humans, keep tight-lipped about the major plot twists that occurred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens before we can openly discuss online without fear of e-persecution? Unfortunately, the movies’ planets are fictional but, the good news is, most are portrayed by very real locations that are also among the most stunning destinations on Earth.
