Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany set for another month out
Vincent Kompany could be out for up to four weeks after suffering another calf injury setback, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed after his side’s 0-0 draw with Leicester City.

Tuesday’s goalless draw against second place Leicester was Manchester City’s first clean sheet in the league this season without their Belgian captain.
Pellegrini said: “It was a very important victory, not only because we won the three points but also in the way we played”.
“Some players raised their performance and the team played the way we normally do every day of the week”. As much as you change the side around, which is what I have been doing since I’ve been here, and think you are going in the right direction, clearly we are slipping back into the danger zone and it is hard work to think now what my best team is.
“I thought for the majority of the game we controlled the game and had a couple of chances to score as well, but they’re a good team and they kept us out and that’s what the league’s about”, Sterling said.
Pellegrini’s side moved to within three points of leaders Arsenal with a point at Leicester while the home side went level on points with the Gunners at the season’s halfway point.
Do you think City will miss Kompany?
The City skipper was making his first appearance since November 8 as a second-half substitute and was introduced after the hosts had conceded in his absence, continuing their run of failing to keep a clean sheet in each of the 10 Barclays Premier League games Kompany has not started.
“I know it’s not our position but we will fight for it”.
“It’s a pity as he is a really important player for us and plays a key role in defence”.
“We have to try to focus game by game – the next is Sunderland, we try to beat them at home which is never an easy game”.
But Claudio Ranieri’s team silenced their critics with another superb performance as they more than held their own against Pellegrini’s men. When Manchester City play as they did on Saturday it reinforces why they are rightly regarded by many as having the best squad in the Premier League.

“I can only say well done to our players and our fans are unbelievable, they support us and they push us”.
