Steven Naismith in line for Norwich move
Naismith saw a move to Carrow Road in August blocked by manager Roberto Martinez because the interest came too late in the transfer window.

The manager’s stance has since shifted, with Martínez indicating earlier this month that he meant to address the situation in face-to-face talks with Naismith in January.
Naismith has made 103 Premier League appearances for Everton, scoring 18 times.
Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Southampton, Neil said he would not be “talking about individuals” when asked if the club was any closer to signing Naismith from Everton or Dinamo Zagreb defender Pinto, who have both been linked with the Premier League club.
We speak constantly, but in terms of the next step on Naisy’s future, it will be discussed over the next couple of weeks. We need to make sure our players can get themselves back in the team.
He added: “We have a strong club at the moment and we want to try and add to it”.
Martinez denied his departure was imminent but appreciates Norwich’s lingering interest may not have dissipated since they were rebuffed a few months ago. “We need to make sure we go through the window in the best possible way”.
“Playing two games in three days was something we had to be very aware about”. Medically he’s got the green light, now it’s making sure he gets a good programme to get him match fit.

Martinez also confirmed Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy will definitely be missing against Spurs on Sunday having suffered a recurrence of a hip injury while fellow midfielder Tom Cleverley will need to be assessed with an Achilles problem.
