Hawaii is the first state to ban smoking for under 21s

Officials further state that “delaying the age when young people first experiment or begin using tobacco can reduce their risk of becoming regular or daily tobacco users”.
The group also said it wants to raise the age to legally buy all tobacco products and e-cigarettes nationwide to 21.
But just as e-cigarettes have taken hold, regulators are poised to gain new powers that will limit what is on sale and to whom.

The second law prohibits the use of electronic smoking devices in places where smoking is already prohibited. On the other hand, those who are caught selling tobacco to underage buyers will be asked to pay a $500 fine for the first offense, but succeeding offenses will be fined $2,000.
