Ohio State’s Cardale Jones to enter NFL Draft
Well, now that Jones is gone, not only will Barrett be back in 2016, but the rest of the Ohio State depth chart looks pretty good too.

No matter what Ohio State does against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on January 1, it won’t erase one simple fact: This wasn’t what the Buckeyes wanted. “There is no place better than to play it than in Glendale”. All the teams ahead of them won on the final weekend, leaving them behind fellow one-loss teams Alabama, Oklahoma and Michigan State in the playoff pecking order.
But the advantage that has really mattered in the three modern day match-ups between Ohio State and Notre Dame in 2005, 1996 and 1995 has been the talent advantage that the Buckeyes have had. Notre Dame’s Romeo Okwara has eight sacks…. “These are important games”.
In hindsight, maybe no one should have been surprised by the way those games played out.
Sports Illustrated also has a big board of 40 players and it includes Bosa, Elliott, Lee, Thomas, Decker and safety Vonn Bell from OSU and Stanley and Smith from Notre Dame.
Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones held a press conference months ago to announce he was coming back to college instead of entering the NFL Draft.
Jones was Ohio State’s third-string quarterback last season before bursting onto the scene, leading the Buckeyes to a national title after injuries to Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett. He overcame the infamous tweet about not being in college for academics, quarterbacked the Buckeyes to a national championship in his first three career starts, went undefeated as a starter (11-0) and yet finished his career as a backup.
He began this season as the starter but was benched in October.
Two teams that were in the mix for a College Football Playoff late in the season try to close on a winning note.
The 1996 game at Notre Dame was the completion of a two-year contract and the game at the end of the 2005 season was in the Fiesta Bowl.

“It is what it is: We’re at the Fiesta Bowl”, McMillan said. Sophomore DeShone Kizer made sure the Irish didn’t miss a step, throwing for 2,600 yards and 19 touchdowns – with nine interceptions – while adding 499 yards and nine more touchdowns rushing.
