Search resumes for missing country singer after severe storm
Morland, from Van Buren, Arkansas, posted on Twitter on Sunday that he and Strickland were “going through Winter Storm Goliath” to go hunting.

The longtime hunting buddies were accompanied by Strickland’s beloved 9-year-old black Lab, Sam, who authorities found alive when they came upon Morland’s body at the lake. The two went missing after their boat capsized Sunday; Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers found Morland’s body Monday.
Just before leaving for the trip, the late Morland tweeted an ominous message uncannily foreshadowing the subsequent events. She also shared that the search will continue with a sonar boat.
The band took to Facebook on Wednesday – where they’ve been updating their fans on the search for Strickland – to praise their missing frontman. On Monday, Helen tweeted: “We love you Craig Michael”. “We can’t even stand to think about it. We are devastated”.
Backroad Anthem, a sextet, formed in Fayettevill, Ark. They got caught in severe weather, and after friends and family hadn’t heard from them in 24 hours, search parties went out to look for them. Rescuers were searching in northern Oklahoma’s Kay County.
Missing Backroad Anthem frontman Craig Strickland’s dog was found alive – refusing to leave the body of his hunting partner – the singer’s heartbroken wife revealed Tuesday on Twitter.
The search for Strickland halts each night and resumes at daybreak.
Friends, fellow country musicians and fans rallied around Strickland and his family on social media, using #PrayersForCraig.

Strickland’s family held a prayer meeting at Cross Church Springdale in Springdale, Arkansas, on Monday night. Eventually law enforcement would find Morland dead, but Strickland has yet to be found. Authorities told E! “The power of prayer is huge”, the band said.
