Others, however, believe services like Uber and Lyft cause more good than harm. The plan must be approved by the airport and city attorney, according to the Associated Press, but could begin by summer’s end.
The Board of Airport Commissioners adopted the rule changes by a vote of 5-0, said Jeff Millman, a spokesman for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti who had pushed for allowing greater ride-sharing at the airport known as LAX.
Regulators have also taken aim at the ridesharing companies.
Anyone with information on the album or the couple is asked to contact the Los Angeles Airport Police.
[Uber and Lyft could soon be operating at National, Dulles airports]. But cab companies say ride-hailing companies are able to undercut their competition because they aren’t held to the same standards as traditional taxi companies, which must follow stricter regulations.
“There was no effort whatsoever to level the playing field in spite of what all the policymakers were saying”, William Rouse, general manager of Long Beach Yellow Cab Cooperative Inc., told KABC-TV Thursday. On Wednesday, a California judge recommended a million fine and a suspension to be levied on the service.

Allowing the companies to pick up passengers at LAX would generate at least $300,000 in revenue for Los Angeles World Airports, the agency that operates LAX, according to a city report.
