Someone who might be more upset than Miss Colombia about Sunday night’s Miss Universe result is Miss Germany, who said she was “so upset” that Miss Philippines won the pageant.
TV host and comedian Steve Harvey, who made headlines after he mistakenly announced the wrong contestant as Miss Universe 2015 victor, was hired only “days before” the ceremony. And then Steve Harvey made the walk down the runway.
Harvey took to Twitter.com after the Las Vegas show to say sorry once more, writing, “I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake”.
“The name of the victor is not in the prompter, they don’t want the girls to see it”, the source explains, noting that the stage manager did know, but likely did not tell Harvey. “I’m sorry to say that”. She said: “Everything happens for a reason”.
“It’s very 2015”, she said. So, for a brief moment at least the contestant from Colombia was the Miss Universe.
Melany Demetillo-Reyes of Dubai said, “We were happy that Philippines got to take home the crown, it was a human mistake what can you we do about it?” As well as the wonderful contestants.
Miss Universe Paulina Vega and Donald Trump attend the 63rd annual Miss Universe Pageant victor press conference at Trump National Doral on January 25, 2015 in Doral, Florida. Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was named Miss Universe.
