Mother Shoots Daughter Dead After Mistaking Her For An Intruder
Detectives have started their investigation into the events, which unfolded about 11:51 p.m. on Tuesday when the woman was asleep in her bed and thought she heard an intruder enter the house, according to St. Cloud police. Investigators say Campbell, who had been sleeping when the shot was sacked, did not notice the bullet wound in his stepdaughter’s chest. The intruder was later identified as the home owner’s daughter.

Police said the daughter died at the hospital where she was taken. The homeowner was also taken to the hospital for observation.
Police are considering the shooting accidental. Check back for more information as it develops.
“Baby, I love you so much”, she says.
“The homeowner fired one round at the subject”, a news release on the shooting states.
Detectives investigating the case say the evidence is consistent with the mother’s story. “Please, please … oh my God”. The Associated Press isn’t naming the family members because of the husband’s past work as an undercover narcotics officer, as well as the fact that no criminal charges have been filed.
The officer is now out on administrative leave, Roberts said.
“The incident… involved the mother and daughter and did not involve a SCPD Officer”, Roberts said.

This is not the first time in Central Florida where a relative has been mistaken as an intruder in a fatal shooting.
