Police are also asking the public to stay away from large gatherings.

The city’s main railway station has been evacuated, along with the Pasing station.

German news agency dpa said one station had been evacuated and trains would no longer stop there.

Police are now working to identify possible suspects.

The warning comes amid increased concerns about terrorist threats since the attacka on Paris in November. officials have already in Brussels called off some of its New Year’s Eve festivities amid terrorism concerns.
