In her message, the Filipina-German victor told Gutiérrez that she was an fantastic woman and that they are “now bonded together forever by a unique experience”.
“In the last three weeks we were together, I saw how strong and handsome you are inside and out”, she wrote.
“I felt calm when I was called first runner-up because I felt it was fate”, she said.
The candidates from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Ecuador have all sent encouraging words for Wurtzbach, now in NY to fulfill her duties as Miss Universe. Despite the gaffe, Harvey is expected to return to next year’s Miss Universe. Then, minutes later, he corrected himself, saying that Miss Philippines actually took the crown.
The embarrassing moment at the recent Miss Universe 2015 is all PR stunt, according to a report. Your destiny is written for you.
The “Big 4” refers to Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth-the four major international pageants for women considered as the most publicized, most influential and most important.
The responses from those involved have been full of class, with Miss Colombia giving her congratulations to eventual victor, Miss Philippines, after momentarily donning the Miss Universe crown for herself.
Closing out her letter, Wurtzbach is calling for the the controversial hype over the ceremony to end.
“Arguing and sending hateful messages to each other defeats the whole goal”, she said.
