Gloria Allred clients prepared to testify against Bill Cosby in criminal case
Her position suggests there will indeed be a trial of Cosby in 2016, in what would be the first sensational celebrity criminal trial of the Twitter age.

The decade-old testimony casts doubt over Cosby’s credibility because he said then that he gave Quaaludes to at least one woman for sex, police said in an affidavit accompanying the criminal complaint against Cosby.
He is set to appear back in court on January 14.
Prosecutors accused him of plying Constand with pills and wine, then penetrating her with his fingers without her consent, while she was drifting in and out of consciousness, unable to resist or cry out.
Constand, who is now 42 and works as a massage therapist in her native Canada, is ready to face Cosby in court, her attorney, Dolores Troiani, said this fall.
The charge adds to the towering list of legal problems facing Cosby, including defamation and sex-abuse lawsuits filed in Massachusetts, Los Angeles and Pennsylvania. He stumbled briefly on his short walk from a dark-colored SUV to the door.
It’s the first time Cosby has faced charges despite years of similar accusations by women and many of his fans are alarmed.
In the document filed late Wednesday, Camille Cosby’s attorneys say that the accusers “argue that they should be allowed to ask Mrs. Cosby about her husband’s sexual ‘proclivities, ‘ her input on any public statements made on her husband’s behalf, and any drugs she may have ever procured”.
“How dare him doing this, still doing this like 30 years later”, she said. The comedian was arraigned Wednesday afternoon.
A message left with one of Cosby’s civil attorneys was not immediately returned.
Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents 29 of the women, said some may be called as witnesses.
Steele says recently released excerpts from Cosby’s deposition in a civil lawsuit led to the renewed investigation.
Cosby and his lawyer were photographed outside Philadelphia embracing as he boarded his private jet on Tuesday night to return to his mansion in MA.
A former Temple University employee told police the comedian drugged and violated her at his home near Philadelphia in 2004.
Cosby, who exemplified the model family man in his long-running hit television series The Cosby Show, was charged with aggravated indecent assault which carries a maximum penalty of five to 10 years in prison.
“There’s nothing in that deposition where Mr. Cosby admits to committing any crime – in fact, he denies it vehemently”, attorney Monique Pressley said. “This prosecutor promised to be tough on Bill Cosby and if he’s not tough on Bill Cosby, the next time around it’s going to come up”. The 78-year-old comedian previously said under oath that he had consensual sexual contact with the woman.
“These charges stem from a sexual assault that took place on an evening in early 2004 at Mr. Cosby’s home in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County”, Kevin Steele, Montgomery County district attorney-elect, said at a press conference.

“In all, or nearly all, of the cases involving Bill Cosby, the alleged victims describe Cosby giving her a pill that renders her unconscious and awakens to find that she’s been assaulted,”Wesley Oliver, the criminal justice program director at Duquesne University, told NBC News”.
