Daily News Cover Skewers ‘He Said-She Said’ Cosby Defense
Constand reportedly thought of Cosby, 37 years her senior, as a mentor who “provided her with guidance and career advice”. He said she never told him to stop.

Cosby was then taken to the police station to be fingerprinted and photographed before being released.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said no one was available Thursday to comment on allegations that the Cosby charges are political.
Cosby has denied all the allegations against him, and his lawyer called the criminal charge unjustified.
The embattled star, who turned in his passport, is now free on a $1 million bail.
Cosby also apologized and offered to pay for Constand’s therapy, prosecutors say.
“What we have now”, she added, “is not the effectuation of justice”.
Despite appearing frail Wednesday, stumbling on his way into a Pennsylvania courthouse even though he was flanked by two lawyers and was using a cane, America’s former favorite dad is in “good spirits”, Pressley said.
The applicable statute of limitations regarding the current charges against Mr. Cosby is twelve years from the date of the offense.
In 2005, Constand claimed that Cosby invited her to his home and that on one occasion in 2004 he gave her pills and wine, which made her unresponsive.
In court papers, prosecutors said that the drugs were the cold medicine Benadryl or some other, unidentified substance.
Cosby, wearing a black and white hooded sweater, was stone-faced as he entered and exited the court through a media scrum. His lawyers helped him hold a pen. But he seemed at ease, laughing and chatting with his attorneys. Keeping it short and to the point, Cosby wrote, “Friends and fans, Thank You”.
“Reopening this case was not a question”.
“We are focused on getting to the facts in this very old case”, she said.
Prosecutors also said there are probably other women who were similarly drugged and violated by Cosby. Steele urged them to come forward. Constand has maintained a low profile since, and little is publicly known about her personal life, but it is clear that she has lived in Canada and worked as a massage therapist. Her attorney, Dolores Troiani, welcomed the charges. “I want justice to be served, and I want justice to prevail for all of the women, all of these victims, who have suffered watching him receive accolades all these years while they were suffering the consequences of PTSD from their encounters with him”. “She is hopeful that her patience has encouraged other victims to come forward”. Elsewhere, Cosby is facing civil suits from Judy Huth and Chloe Goins, as well as defamation lawsuits from other accusers.
Cosby’s civil lawyers have appealed the unsealing, and his criminal attorneys will no doubt fight to keep them out of the trial, perhaps by arguing that Cosby spoke only after being assured by prosecutors he would not be charged with a crime. She reported the incident to police in 2005, but an investigation did not result in criminal charges.
“Prior bad acts” are sometimes allowed as evidence in criminal cases, but judges often take a dim view of such testimony because it can be so damaging.
Still, he predicted that will be an uphill battle for Cosby’s attorneys.
Pressley later discussed her client’s health on “CBS This Morning”.
A successful actor and comedian for decades, Mr Cosby shot to stardom in the 1980s with the sitcom The Cosby Show. The records say Cosby drugged and assaulted a Temple University employee in his Montgomery County home. Castor was seeking to reclaim his job as DA but lost to Steele.
Prosecutors said the release of court documents in July and the subsequent release of the deposition had in part led to the reopening of the case.

She says Cosby “fondled her breasts” and then sexually assault on her. She says she woke up at 4 a.m. with her “sweater bunched up” and her “bra undone”.
