Flowers, sash and crown were hurriedly snatched back and handed to the actual victor, Miss Philippines, sending the world into a frenzy over the blunder. “I feel awful”, he wrote. “We couldn’t believe what had happened”.
“When the top three were announced, some contestants were unhappy and there was quite an uproar“, said the 22-year-old Singapore representative. “It was honestly like a movie”. “Merry Easter y’all!”, Steve captioned a shot of himself on Christmas Day, posing by his pool covered with Christmas decorations with a cigar in his mouth”.
She continued, “You represented your country with honor and I know how proud everyone must be of you”.
Harvey apologized for his “mistake” and tweeted: “I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake”.
In a follow-up apology on Twitter, he misspelled the home countries of both contestants.
Steve Harvey had a laugh over his famous beauty pageant mix-up Friday when he wished everyone a Merry … “And no evidence she was being tailed by Miss Columbia, or her posse”, it added.
