Taylor Swift faces stage malfunction, continues singing while ‘hanging up in air’

Her moving stage prop broke down; she would be stuck in just one spot for the rest of the night, if it did not get fixed.

The 25-year old singer kept the celebrity parade rolling during her “1989” stint in New Jersey.

But that didn’t deter Swift from giving fans their money’s worth.

What song did they sing together?

1989 has sold over six million copies to date.

However, the ever-professional, Swift laughed off the awkward situation and carried on performing.

And while that’s disappointing in one sense, it was encouraging on Monday night to see Swift doubling down on the most recent entries in her songbook. Would she go for the Top 40 hit (The Weeknd singing “Can’t Feel My Face”) or the obvious headline (the World Cup-winning USA women’s national soccer team taking a bow)?

Country music’s popular songstress also payed homage to the “eighties” with her Fine Young Cannibals and Tiffany Mix Tape performance.

But like we said, this isn’t the first time Taylor has done this, especially on her 1989 tour. The fact that various mainstream media outlets are ranking her friends tells her young fans that it’s better to pursue friendships with the established, rich and famous, not the quirky, awkward and anonymous.

Taking to Instagram to thank her BFF for joining her on stage, Taylor wrote: “When your friend flies across the world to surprise your crowd with “Royals” because she’s a wondrous angel”.

Making light of the situation while grasping at the railings, she added: “I’ll just be here forever, stuck up here, unless I choose to jump down!”
