Helen confirmed via social media on Monday morning that authorities had discovered the body of Morland and the pair’s capsized hunting boat.
Fans of country music singer Craig Strickland are offering prayers, hoping that any news about the whereabouts of the missing Backroad Anthem vocalist will be good news. Late Monday night, the boat was found capsized in Kaw Lake.
The search will continue on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 8 a.m. Officials will use a second side scan boat, Patrol 1 helicopter and two search canines from Missouri. Randy Strickland did not immediately return a message at his Oklahoma address seeking comment but said in the online post that Craig’s dog, Sam, had been found.
Strickland’s black lab, Sam, was found alive while Morland was found dead on Monday. “We can’t even stand to think about it. We are devastated”. “Only God and time can put us back together”.
Eerily enough, Morland tweeted an ominous post shortly before taking off on their hunting trip.
Morland, of Van Buren, Arkansas, had worked at a Gellco Outdoors hunting supply store in Arkansas.
His wife Helen, former Miss Arkansas 2014, shared the following message on Twitter.
