Outside the Benghazi shambles, there’s another portion of Gowdy’s record that might cause some headaches for Rubio.

Those comments caught the attention of South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Matt Moore.
Trump needled Gowdy for his role in the investigation of the 2012 Benghazi attack in which four Americans were killed. “I look forward to campaigning with him, and introducing my acceptable mate, pal to voters across the state”.
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump reacted to recent reports that Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) may endorse Sen.
The Rubio team announced Saturday that Gowdy would campaign with the senator in Iowa and released a statement from Gowdy that praised Rubio as a “rock-solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust”. “Hardcore Republicans see Gowdy for standing up against the Clinton machine, and people who respect Gowdy for that will pay attention”. An establishment-led top-three showing in Iowa could help Rubio much more in the other early voting states.
A judge has ordered the review of the financial records of ex-North Charleston police officer Michael Slager upon a request to use public money to pay for the former officer’s defense because he is unable to.
Gowdy is scheduled to appear with Rubio at six campaign stops in Iowa on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The appearance was not a formal sign of support for Rubio, Scott’s campaign said.

According to a Reuters/Ipsos survey ended on December 29, Rubio stands in third place among candidates for the Republican nomination for the November 2016 presidential election with 12 percent. Haley, who has been mentioned as a possible vice-presidential candidate, would likely make an endorsement closer to the state’s primary if she were to do so, her office has said.
