Unfortunately, when the ball dropped to usher in the year 2012, no one knew that it would be the last time the iconic former host of “American Bandstand” would be there to do the honors.
The singer debuts the music video for her single “Out of the Woods” some time during “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” (tonight at 8 on WCVB, Ch. 5).
The very first New Year’s Rockin’ Eve took place as 1972 gave way to 1973. We suppose you could always set your DVR to record all four, allowing you to stretch New Year’s Eve through to 2016. Trump joins the festivies live from Florida from 11:30 p.m.to 12:30 a.m.
Fox: “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” begins at 8 p.m. Hosts Terry Crews and Wendy Williams will be in Miami with performers Pitbull, Puff Daddy, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Prince Royce, Austin Mahone, Earth, Wind & Fire, Jussie Smollett, Yazz and Timbaland. This is a lot like “Hollywood Game Night” – which will start its season Tuesday – except that Andy Cohen hosts, there are some New Year-themed games and Panic at the Disco is the house band. Where’s Carson Daly? He arrives at 11:30 p.m., with “The Voice” colleague Gwen Stefani, who’s slated to sing. Bravo’s Cohen subs for Jane Lynch, the host of NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night” series (which returns January 5).
