Tarantino sued over Django Unchained

Plaintiffs Oscar Colvin Jr. and Torrrance J. Colvin assert they wrote Freedom and Tarantino borrowed from it to create the film, according to court documents acquired by The Wrap.

Within the case of Django Unchained, Tarantino has already credited several different films as direct inspirations & sources, together with Sergio Corbucci’s Django.

Quentin Tarantino now faces a law suit for allegedly stealing the script of his 2012 film Django Unchained from a script called Freedom. The suit does not specify an exact figure in terms of damages, but is looking for compensation “in an amount in excess of hundreds of millions of dollars to be proven at trial”.

Hollywood star Quentin Tarantino shown earlier this month in Los Angeles has named as a defendant in a lawsuit alleging
