Presidential hopeful Trump blasts Republican expected to endorse rival
The campaign trail heated up on Tuesday in Iowa as Republican candidate Marco Rubio came under attack from fellow conservatives. “I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state”.

Rubio’s campaign all but said Gowdy would back him when it sent word this weekend that the congressman would campaign with the presidential candidate, and Gowdy officially blessed him Tuesday in Clinton, Iowa. “And if I did not think Marco Rubio was good on border security, interior security and employment security, I would have kept myself in SC”. Ted Cruz at 18.6 percent and Trump at 35.6 percent, according to a RealClearPolitics averaging of polls.
Gowdy spoke highly of the senator in a statement released by the Rubio campaign. Marco Rubio (R-FL) for the Republican presidential nomination.
Rubio already has endorsements from fellow Republican Sens. One audience member told Breitbart News before the speech that he was unsure about Rubio but he appreciated Gowdy’s work in grilling Hillary Clinton during her Benghazi testimony. Rubio discussed the remark privately with Gowdy earlier in the morning.
The event concluded with questions from the audience, which was mostly revolved around Rubio explaining his stance on various topics, including traditional marriages and abortion, as well as his opinion on his claim of being strong armed into the recent budget deal by President Obama.

“If you say that we want to closely vet people who are coming in as refugees, or even stop it, they say, that’s hateful”, Rubio said.
