George Lucas makes slave trade reference during Star Wars slam

Star Wars creator George Lucas has hit out at The Force Awakens and criticised how Disney has developed the film franchise. I misspoke and used a very inappropriate analogy and for that I apologise.

He was rushed to New York Hospital in “traumatic arrest” at about 11:54 p.m, an FDNY spokesman said. One resident named Alberto said there have been issues in the past with the elevator.

In the interview, Lucas talks about how his vision for future installments of the Star Wars franchise differed from Disney’s, as well as the difficulty of letting go of the characters and universe he created.

Huge blast hits French restaurant in Kabul
Pakistan, which is said to have political sway over the militant group, held historic talks in July 2015. Apparently a restaurant has been attacked”, interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said.

The comments stirred controversy, and Lucas ― a recipient of this year’s Kennedy Center Honors, seen as the highest recognition of cultural achievement in the United States ― issued an apology yesterday.

With $664.1M in global box office after Wednesday’s grosses were added in, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has overtaken Spectre to become 2015’s 5th biggest film overseas.

So it’s obvious that while “Star Wars” fans love “The Force Awakens” and it’s a box-office juggernaut, the “remakequel” style it’s in wouldn’t have been the path Lucas would have taken if he were still at the helm. The third rule is you don’t show up at their coffee shop or their thing, you just say, ‘Nope, gone, history.

“They wanted to do a retro movie”, he explained. In the interview, Lucas likened Disney’s purchase of the franchise to a “break up”.

Should we really care what George Lucas thinks about Star Wars anymore? And that story is what he describes as “a soap opera”. Every movie I work very hard to make them different. But, he said, Disney was not “that keen to have me involved”.

But it seems Lucas hasn’t been able to let go.
