Allardyce calls Liverpool’s Klopp a ‘soft German’
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp laughed off Sam Allardyce’s “soft German” jibe, joking he had been called much worse.

The 25-year-old scored the winning goal against Sunderland in Liverpool’s 1-0 win against the Black Cats, but he was also guilty of missing a one-on-one chance towards the end which caused a minor scare for the Reds.
“I think it’s the first time somebody has said this about me so it’s cool”.
But Klopp says he us indaunted.
“It’s a big, big thing in our game protecting our own offensive actions and our counter-pressing, different things that we can do in terms of [having a] good formation for protecting [ourselves]”, said the Reds boss.
“We have to wait a little bit because it was something with the heel”, Klopp said.
Christian Benteke’s quick strike, just 22-seconds into the second half gave Sunderland their fifth straight defeat of the campaign and took Liverpool to seventh in the league table, leveling points with Manchester United. Please note that comments are automatically checked for inappropriate language and will be removed accordingly. “It depends how he trains today but I am expecting him to be in the squad”, he said.
“It’s definitely a game we can’t lose, but more than anything we need the three points”. “I think in this moment Liverpool feels not too bad and in Man Utd the atmosphere is not the best”. That’s all I want to say.
Liverpool, who beat high-flying Leicester City 1-0 on Saturday with another second-half goal from Benteke, have 30 points from 19 games but Juergen Klopp’s side are behind Manchester United on goal difference.
“Everything is okay. The Hammers, maybe that is more my second name than soft”.
Jurgen Klopp was told to calm down by a police officer after he and Sam Allardyce were trading insults on the sideline. “It’s not a game we will talk about in 10 years but nevertheless it’s really important”.
He hopes 2016 can start in similar fashion with victory on Liverpool’s last ever league visit to Upton Park against West Ham on Saturday.

Now the next station is Sunderland and we have to go there and be concentrated from the first second, like we were against Leicester.
