A storm warning remains in force for Ha’apai, Tongatapu and ‘Eua.
Strong wind warning remains in force as well for the Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, including northern and western Viti Levu.
Low-lying areas are expected to be flooded, with “very high to phenomenal seas” developing a damaging swell tonight.
