‘Star Wars’ fan builds Millennium Falcon with 7500 LEGO pieces
We’ve seen some unbelievable Lego creations, but this one is timely and impressive.

A “Star Wars” fan spent the better part of 2015 recreating what he called “the coolest spaceship in the galaxy” – in Lego.
It took Hannes Tscharner, who lives in Switzerland and goes by Marshal Banana on Flickr, more than a year to plan his creation, collect the pieces needed and put it together.
LEGO fan Marshal Banana creates the largest version of the iconic Millennium Falcon from LEGO bricks. Oh, and it took over 7,500 bricks to build. “And there was still enough space left to include a detailed cockpit (with 4 seats), gunner’s platform and a lowering ramp”.
As The Brothers Brick notes, this model not only has 50% more parts than the $6,000 (USD) LEGO UCS Millennium Falcon, it’s significantly more polished and detailed too.
Marshall Banana wasn’t quite content with the LEGO offerings for a Millennium Falcon, so he built his own.
Tsharner’s Lego Falcon measures 32 inches by 21 inches by 7 inches (82 centimeters by 54 centimeters by 18 centimeters), and weighs in at about 22 pounds (10 kilograms).

It seems that everyone has the “Star Wars” bug when even “Grand Theft Auto 5” lets players fly the Millennium Falcon or a Star Destroyer around Los Santos.
