Falcon 9 booster seconds after landing at Cape Canaveral

Four minutes after launching, its first stage disconnected, and its second stage ignited, proceeding into orbit to deploy a series of 11 satellites for its customer.

Bryant wins one last time in Boston
He reminded them all they needed to do was go home and win two games. “I grew up a really big historian of the game”, Bryant said. Bryant finished with a team-high 20 points in the Lakers 108-98 loss and said that he was moved by the cheers from the crowd.

The club that Bezos had in mind was precisely defined: It consists of ventures that can launch a rocket booster from the ground into space, and then bring that booster back intact for a vertical landing. While Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin did the same in November with its New Shepard, the New Shepard is sub-orbital vehicle.

NHL Winter Classic: 5 storylines from Canadiens-Bruins outdoor game
So far this season, Marchand has been the Bruins leading scorer with 26 points (15 goals and 11 assists in 34 games). Needless to say, Montreal fans have to be pretty happy with how the New Year’s Day event started for their team.

“The staggering price of spaceflight has been the single greatest deterrent to a thriving space market”, said Hannah Kerner, executive director of the Space Frontier Foundation, which advocates for greater human space exploration and settlement.

The game started off fast as David Desharnais got a quick goal past Tuukka Rast off of a face off 1:14 into the first period. Eyewitness News spoke with several fans who said they are rooting for the Bruins during the big game on New Year’s Day.

NASA pioneered the concept of reusable spacecraft with its Space Shuttle program begun in the 1970s. Despite twice losing a craft and its crew in 1981 and 2011, the space shuttles flew 135 missions successfully and collectively spent well over three years in orbit.

After several failed attempts, Elon Musk-led private sector space firm SpaceX has finally managed to successfully land the first stage of Falcon 9 rocket on Earth safely. SpaceX is further panning to go even bigger, and debut a much more powerful rocket to complement the current Falcon 9. Each ended with a terrific explosion and fireball as the rockets seemingly had trouble dealing with the rolling and pitching of the sea and the platforms. In little more than a decade, the company has upended the aerospace industry, forced its competitors to slash costs, broken an unconscionable contractor monopoly on national-security launches and prodded some once-moribund peers to try building reusable rockets of their own, after mere decades of talking about it.

We are eager to see if Musk’s and Bezo’s accomplishments will be put into practice.

SpaceX shared a video of the landing that was taken from a helicopter.

The company, headed by Internet tycoon Elon Musk, is striving to revolutionise the rocket industry, which now loses many millions of dollars in jettisoned machinery and sophisticated rocket components after each launch. But that remains quite a ways off for Tesla and others despite this achievement. The possibility of lowering Space Travel by the factor of a hundred is the real reason why the landing of the two rockets was so significant.

The recovered booster will be set up on the launch pad so that all the new electrical, mechanical, and fueling systems can be tested.

Companies are working toward a future in which minerals are mined from asteroids and tourists book rooms in space.

“The logical thing to happen next is solar, but I can’t figure out how to make any money out of it”, Mr. Musk told a friend in 2001, according to his biographer Ashlee Vance.

But that doesn’t mean that Musk and his team won’t attempt to relaunch and reland a booster in the future assuming it can repeat the feat with another booster in the future.
