Ezekiel Elliott leads Ohio State past Notre Dame in Fiesta Bowl
After what looked like an iffy call to eject Bosa for a highly controversial rule, several people were outraged that one of the stars of college football had to leave the game.

After Barrett fumbled the next snap that was recovered by his center, Jacoby Boren, the sophomore signal-caller fired a short pass to junior wide receiver Michael Thomas on the right side of the formation.
“I felt like, this game would ultimately be decided on who was tougher and who was more physical”, Kelly said.
Notre Dame took advantage of Ohio State’s Bosa-less defense a few times, though not enough to keep pace with the Buckeyes.
The next highlight I want to show is this 81-yard touchdown pass to Will Fuller. The second-longest TD reception in Fiesta Bowl history pulled the Fighting Irish within 38-28, but they got no closer.
The Irish (10-3), which have been plagued by injuries throughout the season, were even more depleted in the desert. Despite their geographical proximity, the teams have played only five times previously, the most recent being Ohio State’s 34-20 victory in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl when Buckeyes quarterback Troy Smith threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns…. Smith was lost to injury two series into the game and his replacement, freshman Te’von Coney, later left with a shoulder injury as well.
Quarterback DeShone Kizer passed for 284 yards and two touchdowns with an interception and rushed for a score as Notre Dame (10-3) suffered its second straight loss.
Ryan Ginn: Somehow J.T. Barrett ended up holding the trophy awarded to the Offensive Player of the Game, but mine would have gone to Ezekiel Elliott and that’s also who gets my Buckeye Leaf. Not much. Brian VanGorder again cooked up a defensive scheme that had ND down 14-0 before the first quarter was halfway over. “We got a little bit of a lift because we had a play that went for 15 yards, plus we had 15 tacked on”. We’re going to keep banging at the door.

The Gators (10-4) head back into the repair shop to fix some problems that many of their followers thought were solved in coach Jim McElwain’s first season. They certainly worked out for the Buckeyes over the past three seasons. “We had to have him on medicine and IVs to make it through the game”. “Obviously there are some things that we would like to have back, guys playing alongside of us”. “I had a similar process in my career earlier when I was in Division II”. It didn’t end with another national championship, but it was a still an ending to a season worth celebrating.
