Trevone Boykin: ‘No excuses for my very poor decision’
Boykin was involved in a fight at a bar and then allegedly struck a bicycle patrol officer early Thursday morning in San Antonio . Boykin then charged at responding officers and swung at one before he was taken to the ground, authorities said.

London welcomes 2016 with dazzling fireworks
Molenbeek is home to the Paris attacks fugitive Salah Abdeslam and has served in the past decades as a haven for jihadists. In Moscow , police for the first time closed off Red Square, where tens of thousands of revelers traditionally gather .

Dubai firefighters continue to cool smoldering building
Incredibly no one was killed in the incident at The Address, which lit up the Dubai skyline three hours before midnight. Dennis Mallari had hoped to photograph Dubai’s fireworks display from a balcony of the 302m (990ft) Address skyscraper.

“I don’t like that”. “I worked very hard to make them completely different, with different planets, with different spaceships – you know, to make it new”, he said.

Lucas, who made the harsh comments in an interview with Charlie Rose, also praised Disney’s leadership and their work as custodians of “Star Wars”.

Lucas added: “Most of all, I’m blown away with the record-breaking blockbuster success of the new movie and am very proud of [director JJ Abrams] and [Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy]”.

George Lucas may have mixed feelings about parting ways with the galaxy he built. And so I said, ‘OK, I will go my way, and I’ll let them go their way.'” He then compared the situation to a breakup, saying that there are certain “rules” after a breakup: “No phone calls, don’t drive past their house or go to their coffee shop, because you’re “opening the wound again”. “They decided they didn’t want to use those stories, they decided they were going to do their own thing”. But you have to just cut it off and say Okay, end of ball game, I got to move on.

In his statement Thursday, Lucas said he was thrilled about Disney’s plans for the franchise. “Disney is doing an incredible job of taking care of and expanding the franchise”. It was for the Kennedy Center Honors and conducted prior to the premiere of the film. He acknowledged that, even before selling to Disney, he could never simply put others in charge of the space films and felt he “had to stand over the shoulder of the director, help him, whisper in his ear constantly, ‘No, do this”.
