Indian paramilitary plane crashes, killing all 10 aboard
The plane, which was to return to Delhi the same evening, was ferrying the BSF’s technical personnel to Ranchi where they were assigned to fix a Mi-17 V5 chopper that was engaged in anti-naxal operations.

The plane, a 20-year-old beechcraft, took off for Ranchi at around 9.45 am.
Deputy Director of Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) RS Passi will be the chairman of the committee while Capt Anant Sethi, chief pilot of Madhya Pradesh government will be its operational member.
On Tuesday, nine BSF troopers and a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) co-pilot were killed when their plane flying to Ranchi crashed in Dwarka.
Few other details were immediately available. The mishap occurred after the aircraft lost contact with ground control.
“We saw the plane flying dangerously low”. DG level talks between India and Bangladesh beginning today in Dhaka postponed due to BSF plane crash, reports PTI.
Suraj, an eyewitness, told reporters that the plane hit a wall, caught fire and crashed in a field outside the airport.
Two labourers, including a woman, working near the airport’s boundary were seriously injured after smouldering parts of the 1994-built aircraft fell on them. Why were they given such an old plane?
More than a dozen fire engines and emergency workers have been rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
Technically speaking, an aircraft that does not have a valid CofA should not be cleared to fly.
“It is unfortunate that all 10 people, including the pilots, have died in the crash”, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma said. “But initial information suggests that the pilot could also not manoeuvre the landing properly”.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid rich tributes to the troopers who were killed in a BSF plane crash in Delhi.
