Sunny, Dry Conditions to Begin the New Year

The cold air will start to leave on Thursday as highs warm back up to near 50. If the clouds quickly clear the metro before sunrise we’ll see some patchy fog, but the likelihood remains very low.

By the afternoon hours, the thermometer will show readings in the middle 40s, though the wind will make it feels like it’s in the upper 30s. The better chances for rain should be farther south.

More clouds for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The weather will remain quiet for the rest of the week into the weekend.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny skies will be around for Saturday, with a high temperature of 42 degrees.

By the early part of next week, temperatures should be in the low 40s, with no snow in the immediate forecast.
