West Ham returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Monday evening when they got the better of Southampton 2-1 at home.
Victories over Leicester and Sunderland over the festive period have left the Reds in seventh position in the Premier League, level on points with Manchester United and five behind Tottenham in fourth.
Aaron Creswell may be in contention to start after picking up an ankle injury, but former Liverpool loanee Victor Moses will play no part.
Liverpool are once against struggling with too many injuries.
Fellow striker Divock Origi (hamstring) and midfielder James Milner (calf) are out while Klopp is waiting for news concerning midfielders Jordan Henderson (foot) and Joe Allen (illness).
Liverpool: Daniel Sturridge could return to the Liverpool team.
Adam Lallana, who has featured from the off in the past four league games, is on the bench with Jordon Ibe taking his place in the starting XI. Nathaniel Clyne, Alberto Moreno, Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho picked up consecutive clean-sheets during the Christmas fixtures, and will be looking to add another today.
However, out of the last 10 meetings at Upton Park, Liverpool have won seven, whilst West Ham have only won three. They have 29 points from 19 games, and could surprise Liverpool tomorrow.
“The manager will be pleased with the result, but Jurgen Klopp will know that if they carry on playing like that they will not win many football matches”. A lot has been said about his work rate and off the ball movement, but he looks like the only goal scoring threat in the Liverpool team right now.
A top eight finish would be a fantastic achievement for Bilic in his first season, and would give their fans a huge boost when they move to the Olympic Stadium next term.
“I don’t hold him back – never!”
