Moderate quake strikes near Saanich

A magnitude-4.4 quake struck near Devore in San Bernardino County late Tuesday afternoon, but there were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
What began as a low rumbling at 11:39pm quickly escalated into mild shaking and swaying that lasted longer than 10 seconds in some areas. The moderate quake struck at 11:39 p.m. local time Tuesday about 20 kilometres north of Victoria and was felt across much of southern British Columbia.
