Magnitude-4.4 earthquake shakes Southern California suburbs
“It felt like the whole world was bouncy, and it was really shaky”. Residents in numerous B.C communities took to Twitter to say they also felt the quake.

Neither U.S. nor Canadian officials have reported any injuries or significant damage, and the National Weather Service says there is no risk of tsunami along coastal regions.
A moderate natural disaster struck southern British Columbia late Tuesday.
“I woke up and I noticed I was rattling or shaking a little… There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected”.
Two of Metro Vancouver’s elevated rapid transit lines were shut down briefly while the guideways were checked, but TransLink said the system was back in operation within 90 minutes.
One B.C. resident said they thought a tree had fallen on the house.
Bird encouraged anyone who felt the quake to use the “did you feel it” button on the agency’s website at earthquakescanada.ca.
The quake struck about 5:50 p.m.in Devore near San Bernardino and was felt in Riverside. Aftershocks followed and the strongest was a 3.8 magnitude.
Last year, a 6.6-magnitude quake shook much of southwestern B.C.in the spring after it hit on the Nootka fault zone off the west coast of Vancouver Island.

The USGS initially said its magnitude was 4.9, at a depth of 40 kilometres underground.
