Michigan State reflects positively on a season with a sour ending
It was an emotional Friday afternoon for the Michigan State football team, with coach Mark Dantonio calling a meeting to wrap up the season and allow the seniors to say goodbye.

For one thing, it got a little fortunate. A few hundred yards later, Stanford’s sophomore star had smashed the oldest bowl game’s record for all-purpose yards while leading the Cardinal to a blowout win over Iowa. “If he can make a good throw on the run, hats off to him, but we didn’t want him sitting in the pocket delivering throws”.
Yet the illogic did add up to logic, for here comes a final with two of the season’s most towering elements, banging against one another.
Alabama had nine new starters on offense this season.
Now they’ll see each other as vital parts of dueling chemistries.
There is hope, then, for a national championship that will at least manage to hold our attention, because Clemson has the potential to stretch Alabama’s defense in ways Michigan State couldn’t.
MI played without safety Jabrill Peppers, who sat out with an undisclosed injury.
Our prediction: Alabama 24, Clemson 10. Many experts thought that the BIG 10 was the best conference in football this year and that this game would be close because it would be a matchup of the two best conferences. “I think that’s what it showed”.
Clemson is undefeated and ranked No. 1. It ranked in the top 20 natinally in scoring offense, scoring defense, total offense and total defense.
Story of the game: Each of the first seven possessions of the game ended in a punt before Jake Coker finally connected with Calvin Ridley on a 50-yard pass play that set up a short Derrick Henry touchdown for the first score of the game. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article. Alabama limited MSU’s outstanding quarterback, Connor Cook, to 186 passing yards on 17 completions in 33 attempts with an interception and no touchdowns. He went 25 for 30 on Thursday night, with such excellence that it grew clear that Henry and the defense served another role in 2015: They gave Coker and teammates time to mend flaws, especially after Alabama looked at a messy 43-37 loss to Ole Miss on September 19 and resolved to ride Henry from there. The Michigan State-Alabama Cotton Bowl drew a 9.9 rating for ESPN compared to 15.3 for Ohio State-Alabama in the Sugar Bowl last January 1. So it was going to take time.
“But because of the result and the bad taste of losing a game when you had a chance to – in the playoff and maybe in the first playoff we weren’t quite ready to handle bowl game versus playoff game, whatever. He’s a guy that is really special to our team”.
“You know, that’s 17 in a row for us”. Coker delivered the best performance of his career in Alabama’s biggest game of the season to date.
“I think the players learned a lot from what happened in the game a year ago”, Saban said.
That defensive front insists that it be so, as would the nation’s foremost unit of any kind, a rotating menace chockablock with dynamic sorts.
“Now, they really have something to call that chip on their shoulder”, Harris said, referring to the Spartans suffering their first shutout since a 14-0 loss at MI in 2000.
One thing Alabama head coach Nick Saban has mentioned multiple times during the latter stages of the season is his current group’s drive to succeed.
Now could Henry see the reverse benefit him against Clemson? Watson rushed for 145 yards and a score and threw for 187 yards and a score. Alabama extended its streak just before the new year with a 67-59 overtime victory against Jacksonville State on Tuesday.

Of course, so is Watson, but clearly they’re men, and a week from Monday in Arizona, they’re about to oppose other men.
