Al Jazeera America reporter defends HGH report naming Peyton Manning, wife
During his Monday morning appearance on Dennis & Callahan with Minihane, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady offered support for Peyton Manning as the Broncos quarterback denies a report that suggested he used performance-enhancing drugs in 2011.

According to the report, Manning’s wife, Ashley, received shipments of HGH that were allegedly used by Manning to recover from a series of neck surgeries that forced him to miss the entire 2011 season. In an interview with the Today Show, Deborah Davis, an Al Jazeera reporter, says they never accused Manning of using the drugs, only living at the home where they were delivered. Davies did double down, claiming Peyton Manning hasn’t denied Ashley Manning received HGH shipments and noting that it’s still illegal in the United States in most instances.
In the documentary, The Dark Side, Sly said: “All the time we would be sending Ashley Manning drugs, like a growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida”.
A very short section and a very convenient section for Al Jazeera because of the attention it brought to a story that otherwise wouldn’t have generated much attention. Is it possible this hgh wasn’t shipped to Ashley, that Peyton manning never had access?
Papa John’s said Tuesday that it is standing by Peyton Manning, its prime celebrity spokesman, amid doping allegations.
The NFL, however, could be forgiven for waiting for the story itself to continue to develop over the “he said, she said” antics of the parties involved in the story.
“It’s inexcusable and irresponsible that Al Jazeera would provide a platform and broadcast outright lies about Mr. Howard and Mr. Zimmerman”, Burck said in a statement. “To be clear, I am recanting any such statements and there is no truth to any statement of mine that Al Jazeera plans to air”.
Charlie Sly has since renounced everything he said in the documentary and has also claimed that a number of the calls and conversations he had with the network were recorded without him providing consent. In a statement Saturday night, December 26, 2015, Manning said: “The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up”.

In other words, Al Jazeera is simply inferring there is some connection with Peyton Manning here. Manning, who joined the Broncos in 2012, has been sidelined since November 15 by a left foot injury. They were not even living there at that time.
