Congress Hammers Away, Wants Jaitley Out
The Congress on Monday kicked up a ruckus in both Houses of Parliament to press for Arun Jaitley’s resignation and a Supreme Court-monitored probe into alleged corruption in Delhi’s cricket association when the finance minister headed the DDCA.

Jaitley has also filed a criminal defamation complaint, saying the AAP leaders’ statements would cause “irreversible damage” to his reputation.
He was replying to a question on Prime Minister Narendra Modi comparing the charges of corruption against Jaitley with the Hawala case faced by Advani in the nineties, in which he had come clear at the end, reports PTI.
“The Congress is raking up manufactured allegations to defame the government”, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu quoted Modi as saying in the meeting.
“When the Congress accuses the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), all the ministers and the MPs oppose it. When Kirti Azad was talking about the DDCA yesterday in the Lok Sabha, no BJP MP or minister said it was wrong”. Kejriwal alleged that the real reason behind the raid was to find files related to Arun Jaitley’s role in corruption. The leaders said Jaitley should step down during the inquiry for the sake of own dignity and honour and generate a public confidence into such an investigation.
Striking a similar note, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, “I read it as a signal to Jaitley that you also do the same thing”.
Calling, December 15 as “a black day” for the country, Kejriwal accused the prime minister of constantly interfering in the functioning of the AAP-led Delhi government.
Following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat in connection with charges against Kumar, AAP has been claiming that the central agency carried out the searches to target the AAP chief and was looking for a file relating to alleged graft in DDCA.

“I want to state this with full responsibility that there’s no office of principal secretary as such”. So they referred the case to the Serious Frauds Office. “They are mentally torturing him.”Kejriwal poked fun at Modi for wearing a Rs. 10 lakh suit past year, and demanded to know how a “chai wala” (tea seller) could afford such a costly suit”. For 6 days Rajendra Kumar was interrogated for hours.
