FAA investigating drone flying near Allegheny County Airport
The buzz of drones, or unmanned aircraft systems, will be a lot more common after Christmas morning.

“The FAA considers unmanned aircraft to be the same as manned aircraft, so users would be required to comply with all of the federal aviation regulations”, says Kathleen Bergen of the FAA.
The drone owners must register with the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) before they fly outdoors. Owners may use either the paper-based process or web-based system. Registration costs $5, although it gets refunded if you sign up in the first month.
